The first decade of the 21st Century is gone. Gone. In one second, the ball drops and it's history. How was that decade for you? Did you find all you want for your life. Did you do want you wanted to do. Or, did you just survive?
I am not talking about money, though, certainly many have been hit really hard. I am speaking about your heart. How did your heart survive in the process? Did your heart move forward in excitement and power? How are you empowered? Are you doing anything to empower yourself, your family or your friends? Did you just barely hang on in the roller coaster ride we had last year?
I suggest to you that you cannot empower those you love without empowering yourself. Scripture says, "love your wife, as yourself." In that sentence, there is not just an implication to love yourself, but really a command. How do you love yourself?
Well, first it is a selfish thing. Is selfish always bad? No, I think not. As long as it is a healthy way of taking care of yourself, to recharge your heart, I believe we all have to take time to breathe for a moment. Think on that. Sometimes we get so busy for our jobs, family and friends, we forget we need to stop and smell those roses.
May 2010 be all about smelling the roses...and then taking a dozen to someone you love!
